Before you reach Salzburg, turn right on to the A10/E55 running from Salzburg - Villach to the Bischofshofen/Gasteinertal exit. Carry on on the main road 311 via St.Johann/Pongau towards Innsbruck/Zell am See. At Lend, the 167 road turns off left in the direction of Gasteinertal/Villach.
The Gastein valley opens up after the tunnel. Drive on through Dorfgastein and Bad Hofgastein towards Bad Gastein.
